Kazuhiro Kazama studied precision mechanics and received M. Eg. degree from Kyoto University, Japan. He joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation in 1988. And he received Ph.D. from Kyoto University in 2005.

He developed Japanese TeX (NTT JTeX) and a search engine (ODIN).
